HOW TO USE THE TOOLKIT

We have outlined below a suggested method for using this site. However, the method you decide to use the site is entirely up to you. The site has been designed so that any component may be used on its own. Feel Free to use as you wish!

Step 1: Register as a Partnership to access Partnership Assessment
  • To begin the Partnership Assessment, click here to register.
  • Complete the registration form with yours and your partner's details. Fields marked with an asterisk are required fields.
  • Create your own password, which is recommended to be at least 6 characters and a combination of letters and numbers.
  • Once registration is complete, you will both be sent an email confirming your login details.
  • Enter your common user name and password into the login area in the tool bar above to login and begin your assessment.
Step 2: Begin your assessment

Option 1
The Principal and IEW complete the assessment online together and share their perspectives and opinions as they go. Once each statement has been discussed, the partners can enter their agreed response.

Option 2 (Recommended)
The Principal and IEW complete the assessment manually (by downloading forms). Do the assessment separately and then meet later and discuss your results until you arrive at an “agreed position” for each question. When finished, enter the assessment details online. Click here to download the assessment to complete offline (PDF, 70 kB).

Tips
  • If you need to stop and save your work, click Save and Continue Later. You can return in the future, using your user name and password to login and complete the assessment.

Once you have decided which method to follow you can follow these easy steps:

  • Answer the questions in each section by clicking the rating that is most relevant to you.
  • Continue down the page through each section.
  • When you have answered all the questions, click Submit Assessment at the bottom of the page.

Once finished, your reports will be automatically generated. You can view the reports in the standard format or in the Strengths and Weaknesses format designed to highlight areas you are doing well at, and some areas you may need to pursue further.

Step 3: Viewing and Printing your report
  • Your reports will show the date the assessment was completed and will be given a reference number.
  • You may want to view both the Standard Report and the Strengths and Weaknesses Report
  • If you want a hard copy, click the “Print” icon to print your full report.
  • You may also email the PDF file of your full report to your IEW or Principal partner or colleague.
  • To download, click the “Download Report - PDF format ” to download your report.
  • You can return at any time and login to view your reports online.
  • You can complete the Partnership Assessment as many times as you wish. Over time this will show how your partnership has evolved.

Tips
  • To view this PDF file at a later stage after downloading, you will need to use Adobe Acrobat. Click here to download the program if you don’t already have it on your computer.
  • We recommend that the report is done at least once a term to monitor progress.
  • After completing your report view the Partnership Activities for ideas on improvement.

Step 4: Use Partnership Activities
  • The Partnership Activities have been matched directly with the ten sections of the Partnership Assessment.
  • You may use your Partnership Assessment to identify areas you want to target first. Alternatively, you may decide to work through all the activities systematically.
  • The Activities are largely designed to prompt discussions.
  • There are no prescribed actions to take from each Activity. What you take from them is entirely up to you. We have provided a space titled ‘Where to From Here’ for you to write down your intended actions.
  • We suggest you make a regular time with each other to do these activities. Do not attempt to complete all the Activities in a single session.
  • We suggest that you print the Activities you wish to do and complete in hard copy. Keep a record of your completed exercises.
  • Should you wish to Print all Activities at once for future use, please click here (zip file, 12.2MB)
