Arthur Conlon

The artwork for this site was created by Arthur Conlon. Arthur is a 47 year old artist from the Wakka Wakka/Kullilla Tribe.

“I was born in Cherbourg, South East Queensland and established a business in 1990 as an Aboriginal artist. I am one of 14 children and a member of a much larger extended family. I started painting from the age of nine by studying the skills of my Uncles. I completed year 12 at Murgon SHS, was a teacher aide for 3 years, joined the army for ten years, now I am a successful and self-employed artist. I have business interests in wholesaling to shops throughout Australia and Internationally. I also design for different companies in fabric and clothing. My main talent lies in teaching Aboriginal Art in schools.”
